"I loved Tom Quiner’s musical “The Pope of the People”. It gathers together the most important moments from the life of Pope John Paul II in a very entertaining, yet meaningful, way. The storyline encompasses the issues The Pope was passionate about during the course of his papacy: world peace, social justice, family values, equality and prayer. You have to give Tom Quiner credit – he did a fantastic job of bringing the Pope to the stage--- and to the people. The range of emotions, the dialogue, and the script are all very powerful. You can feel the presence of John Paul II in the musical from the moment it starts until the end. The account of the Pope’s life is very honest and riveting, and the production is fascinating with very seamless transitions. You will find yourself laughing in one moment, and near tears in the next. The musical score was dazzling, while exceeding all expectations. The performance is thoroughly enjoyable, and the historic portrayal of the Pope will enlighten your spirit and lift your soul.
